Tiempo en Chile
Certain opportunities only present them selves once in your life. For those of us who are willing to take a risk we are often rewarded with experiences that enrich our hearts and minds. We often never find what we are seeking but we certainly gain insight and knowledge through reflecting upon our journeys. Living in Chile was no exception for me. Within a week of my arrival I found my way to the mountain village of Las Trancas, Chile near the resort of Las Termas de Chillan. I lived with a group of Spanish, French and Chilean skiers and snowboarders who had all been drawn to Termas de Chillan with the aspiration of spending the austral winter chest deep in powder. During that time I was able to fulfill a life time dream of living in South America while perfecting my Spanish. After the season ended I moved to Santiago where I lived with Carla Borquez who later became my wife and mother to our two beautiful children. She and I married in Vina del Mar and returned to live in Michigan where I resumed my career teaching Spanish at Nataki Talibah Schoolhouse of Detroit.
